The Minnesota Lynx add title number three to their resume. I’m not sure what exactly got into them but the Lynx came to ball last night. They forced the Fever to turn the ball over 19 times. These turnovers, helped them to run away with the game in the 2nd & 3rd quarters.
Although Maya Moore had an off game shooting 1-8 from the field; It was Sylvia Fowles and Seimone Augustus who carried the offensive load. The dual shot 55% collectively from the field. We all know how dangerous Augustus can be but the pick up of Fowles, proved to be the right move for the team.
The Fever did not play the way we are use to seeing them play. I’m not sure if the pressure got to them or what but they were not themselves. Along with all of the turnovers, they also allowed themselves to get out Rebounded. Tamika Catchings had a decent game shooting 100% from the stripe and got to the line 5 times.
Although Marissa Coleman had an off night shooting 1-8 from the field, they should have found a way to get her going. Coleman has been the player, that had the most impact for the Fever during the playoffs. She made the only Freethow that she had for the night. It would have been nice to seen her attack the cup more.
At the end there can only be one winning and the Lynx took care of business to make sure it was them. Now they have a shiny new trophy to put next to their other two. This has truly been an exciting WNBA season and I can wait for next year.
Now that it’s all over, are more excited for the Lynx or disappointed in the Fever?
