At the age of 37, after 20 years in the league, Kobe Bryant decides to call it quits. Kobe will play out the rest of this season and then leave the game behind. Kobe was one of the best players at his position only 2nd to Michael Jordan. It’s sad to see the Kobe era come to an end but even good things must come to an end.
On Sunday, November 29th, Kobe sent a letter to the game via The Players Tribune. Here is a peek at what he said.
From the moment
I started rolling my dad’s tube socks
And shooting imaginary
In the Great Western Forum
I knew one thing was real: I fell in love with you. A love so deep I gave you my all —
From my mind & body
To my spirit & soul.”
