Sparks Improve To 6-0 After Defeating The Stars 68 – 61

The  Los Angeles  Sparks are on a roll this season.   Coming in to Thursday night’s game, they were 5 – 0 behind the red hot play from All-Star Candace Parker.   Many did not question if they could remain undefeated  as they faced a struggling San Antonio Stars team.

While Parker did have 10 pts for the game, it’s was Nneka Ogwumike 21 pts that gave the Sparks a 68 to 61 victory.  Ogwumike had an outstanding game finishing with 10 Reb. , 5 Ast. and shooting 66.7% from the field.   The Sparks have benefited from her consistent play over her 5 years with the team.

Now that the Sparks and the Lynx are both 6 – 0, I’m sure B-Ball fans are hoping that both teams can keep it up until June 21st; when they both play each other.   This is an exciting time right now in women’s basketball,  I wouldn’t want to be the one to miss it.
